In 2004, The Washington Post featured Coats for Kids in the weekly Alexandria-Arlington Extra. Since that time, additional news articles have been published. We encourage you to learn what we are doing, and then to consider ways in which you can become involved. - You can send a contribution to the Coats for Kids Foundation at Box 22533, Alexandria, VA 22304. All contributions are fully tax deductible.
- You can also donate new coats by calling us at 703-567-COAT. But remember, Coats for Kids has a corporate partnership that enables it to purchase new winter coats at significant discounts from retail--usually $7-10 each.
Coats for Kids became recognized as a 501 C 3 public charity in March 2004. A copy of our application to the IRS for recognition as a public charity is available through this link. It has also registered as a public charityle with the VA Department of Agriculture & Commerce. Copies of both filings are available. Our 2004 990 and 2005 990 is now on-line.
