			<title>Spreading our Wings - Coats For Kids Foundation is now a service of Operation Warm</title>
			<link>http://www.coats-for-kids.org//index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=224&amp;Itemid=33</link>
			<description>
Coats for Kids Foundation, established in 2004 in Alexandria, VA has been a long time partner of Operation Warm, Inc. Founded on similar principles, both organizations have made it their mission to provide new winter coats to children in need. Their shared vision of ensuring every child wearing a new winter coat is healthy, able to attend school regularly and has a strong self- esteem is why Coats For Kids Foundation and Operation Warm, Inc. have united with a goal of serving at-risk children in the Greater Washington D.C Metro area and an increasing number of children nationwide.

Within the National Capital Area, children will continue to be served through Coats for Kids Foundation. Our efforts have been expanded with the help of Operation Warm, who similarly provides brand-new coats to children in need in this local area. Across the United States, Operation Warm has launched a coats for kids program, which now enables kids to be served on a nationwide basis.

After distributing more than 38,000 new winter coats since 2004, Coats for Kids Foundation founders, Paul and Cheryl Darby have retired. They reached out to Operation Warm, Inc. so the Darby legacy could continue. Their profound impact on children in the Washington D.C region has been remarkable. Together this winter 2011/2012, Coats for Kids Foundation and Operation Warm have already reached more than 5,000 children within the National Capital Area.

Our commitment to high quality coats and impeccable customer service will not be sacrificed as we continue to work with our partners across the country. Better yet, we are thrilled about the potential growth opportunities that will result from the union between Coats For Kids Foundation and Operation Warm, Inc.
