| Alexandria's Kids Helping Kids Supports CFK Again! |
|
For the fourth consecutive year, Alexandria's Lemonade Kids have decided again to support the work of the Coats for Kids Foundation, along with another Alexandria non-profit, the Alive Child Development Center. This year, the Lemonade Kids goal is to raise $10,000 by having 50 lemonade stands throughout Alexandria on May 1st. This date is also the date that Alexandria has its Spring cleanup in all city parks. Coordinating the effort this year is Tom May, brother of Katie, who co-chaired the program since its founding in 2007. Already, the Lemonade Kids have several sponsors and more than 20 teenagers committed to helping to raise money and run the lemonade stands on May 1st. If you son or daughter would like to become involved, please reach out to Tom through the Lemonade Kids website, www.kidshelpingkidsalexandria.org, or by email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or by calling 703-317-1911. Tom would appreciate the help. This project is one of the finest examples of youth involvement in Alexandria. We encourage parents and their kids to become involved!
